Ed Blanchard c.1918
Blanchard's spurs were and still are unique in their design. They fit the boot like no other and were favored by working cowboys for that reason-partly due to the wide 1-1/2" heel band and the slanted swinging hinge button hangers. Most of his work was unmounted but some have ranch brands, initials, and some traditional mountings as well. The heavy amount of material that is built up around the shank and then ground and buffed out makes for one of the more difficult and time consuming spurs to complete. Mild steel, stainless steel, and tool steel were what he worked with* and Ed achieved a proficiency and dedicated clientele envious of any spur maker.

Below are some of the reproduction Blanchard's I have made and offer for sale. Click on any image for a larger view and description.
